2027: Omo‑Agege’s Departure Is a Significant Loss for the APC – Sam Amadi

Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, said that former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo‑Agege’s departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a major blow to the party.

Amadi made the comment on Thursday during a live interview on Arise Television’s “Morning Show.” He was responding to Omo‑Agege’s resignation from the ruling party.

The Daily Post reports that the ex‑Deputy Senate President announced his exit on Wednesday, a few days after losing the Delta Central APC Senate primary.

Speaking on the show, Amadi noted, “I think if Omo‑Agege goes to any of the parties, he will definitely win the nomination because he’s a very strong politician.”

He added, “This represents a significant loss for the APC. The ruling party in Delta State has suffered a setback.”

Amadi also warned that Omo‑Agege is likely to become a powerful opposition figure against the APC, citing his strong political network built during his time as Deputy Senate President before 2023.
