The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has announced that it will begin its presidential primary election, following a surge of support for the opposition coalition that appears to be led by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
The primary is currently underway after the party successfully held its gubernatorial and State House of Assembly primaries a few days earlier. Delegates, party leaders, political stakeholders, and supporters from across the country are expected to attend.
The presidential primary is taking place at Ogunlesi Hall, opposite the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan. Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and security agencies have been strategically positioned to maintain law and order at the venue.
